Photography competition picks its winners

“With high quality entries coming in from both Cambourne Business Park occupiers and local residents, we found it hard to pick a winner, but Simon Andrew’s shot of the park on a glorious summer day was a popular choice among the judges,” explains Lesley Scobell, Marketing Manager for Cambourne Business Park. 2008 is the third year of the annual Cambourne Business Park photography competition.

“The winning shot was a classic view of Cambourne Business Park looking its very best. Simon is obviously an accomplished photographer - great framing, plus an attractive sky show both the buildings and landscaping to advantage. We want to congratulate him and all our winners, but we have been particularly impressed by the standard of the under-17s entries – we clearly have plenty of photographic talent in the younger generation,” comments Julian Cobourne, Asset Manager at Morley Asset Management, owners of Phase 2 at Cambourne Business Park.
The 2008 winner in the Over 16 Category was Simon Andrews with his photograph ‘Business Perspective’. Simon works for Global Graphics on the Business Park and lives in Huntingdon.



The runner up adult prize winner was Andrew Russell who lives in Hertfordshire.



The 16 and under first prize winner is Becky Turner, age 14, a Cambourne resident.



The runner up prize goes to 16-year old Victoria Whitehead, who lives in Cambridge.
Simon Andrews was delighted to be a winner. “I am a keen landscape photographer and I do like to enter competitions, but to be a first prize winner was a very nice surprise!” he commented.
Simon has won a Canon EOS 400D camera with an EFS lens and Becky received a Fujifilm Finepix Z10fd digital camera. The adult runner up prize was a Canon Powershot A720IS digital camera and the runner up in the under-17s category won a Fujifilm Finepix F480 digital camera.
