Campells is relocating to Cambourne Busisiness Park

Development Securities and Wrenbridge Land have officially unveiled Phase II of their ongoing project to build the UK's best business enviroment in Cambridge - and Campbells Foods has already signed up for space.

Phase II of Cambourne Business Park, which was forward funded by Morley Fund Management for £37M, comprises three high specification office buildings totalling 140,000 sq ft. Construction of the phase began speculatively at the end of 2000 and already one of the three buildings is occupied by the expanding billing software company, Convergys.

The first phase of the park commenced in May 1999 and was forward funded for £25m with the universities Superannuation Scheme. It comprises 105,000 sq ft of high class office accomodation which is now fully occupied by serviced office provider Regus, Convergys and Citrix.

The developers believe the other two buildings making up phase II, buildings 2020 and 2030 offer flexibility both in the size of the accomadation available and the lease terms offered. The key to building 2020 is that potential occupiers can part-let sections of the building depending upon their space requirements. Smaller companies can take advantage of the 6,000 sq ft spaces while larger businesses can lease an entire floor comprising around 18,000 sq ft.

Campbells foods has already signed up for the second floor of buillding 2020, and will be moving its adminatrative function from its current base in King's Lynn. Cammpbells will be moving 150 of its staff to Cambourne. It is offering its staff a relocation package and many of them are set to move into Cambourne village.

Building 2030 on the other hand is being marketed as a flagship corporate headquarters. The stunningly designed 48,931 sq ft buillding, laid out over three floors is available for a single tenant.
