1 May 2002

Cambourne Business Park has been chosen as the site for South Cambridgeshire District Council's headquarters.

The council will take 4,646 sq m (50,000 sq ft), comprising offices and a council chamber, at Development Securities/Wrenbridge Land's business park near Cambridge.

The Aukett Europe designed office building forms phase three of the business park development and will house the council's executive and administrative staff.

The business park is part of the Cambourne settlement, a 421ha (1,040 acre) scheme which includes 3,300 houses, and town centre, retail and leisure facilities. Tenants at the Business Park are Regus, software firm Citrix and international telecomunications software developer, Convergys.

Daniel Van Gelder, associate director at DevSec, said " We have worked hard over the past six months to meet the council's financial and design requirements. we now have a solution that will give South Cambridgeshire a headquarters to be proud of"
