TRAVEL TO WORK SUVEY RESULTS

22 Dec 2003

Designed to find out how far people travel to work and their method of transport, all employees based at the Business Park were invited to participate. As a further encouragement for people to take part, a bike worth £200 was offered in the prize draw.

Over 33% of the workforce took part and the results showed that 76% drive alone to work, 7% car share, 2% cycle, 3% travel by bus and 7% telework.

The delighted winner, who confessed this was the first prize draw she'd ever won, was Hayley Chadderton, who works in HR at Enviros within the Regus building. Her prize was presented to her by Lesley Scobell, Marketing Co-ordinator at Cambourne Business Park.

“We were pleased with the level of response we received but recognise that we still have a lot of work to do to encourage those who work on the Business Park to leave their cars at home and travel to work by alternative means of transport,” said Lesley Scobell.
