Cambourne is planned to be an almost self-contained community incorporating all the amenities you would expect to

The High Street; Morrison's supermarket on the High Street includes a cash point, a petrol filling station, a car
wash and a customer restaurant.
The Fish 'n' Chick'n takeaway has recently opened opposite Morrison's and more shops will be opening soon, including
Lloyds Pharmacy, a dry cleaners, an Indian bar/restaurant, a Building society and Estate Agents. Building work on 'The
Monkfield Arms' Cambourne's first pub is also underway. Pathfinder Inns expect that the pub will open in time for
Easter 2006.
Cambourne Library and Health centre is at the far end of the High Street at the Junction with Sackville Way. For details

lunchtime reading group that meets once a month. Cambourne's community centre, 'The Hub' is opposite the Library.
For sports enthusiasts Cambourne boasts a multi-purpose sports area including Tennis courts, 5 aside football pitches and
playing fields. There are also acres of green open space, woodland paths, cycleways and bridleways to explore for workers
wishing to get some fresh air during their lunch breaks.
