Educate
Cambourne
has excellent educational facilities for its young residents.
The Just Learning Day Nursery is very well equipped
and can look after up to 100 babies and toddlers. The
nursery is next door to Monkfield School and is happy
to welcome children of employees working on Cambourne
Business Park.
Monkfield Park Primary School moved into its brand new building on School Lane, Great Cambourne in March 2000. It will eventually cater for 420 pupils from 4 to 11 years of age. The school, which has been designed to deliver a curriculum appropriate to the educational and technological needs of the 21st century, received an excellent OFSTEAD inspection report in February 2001. It has a well respected reputation as a centre of excellence for its ICT facilities, and has been grouped in the top 25% of schools in the country by its 2001 OFSTED Report.

The Vine Inter-Church Primary School opened in Upper Cambourne in September 2005. The school is currently using temporary class room while work continues on the permanent buildings.
The voluntary aided school, jointly supported by the Church of England and the Methodist Church, will grow to cater for 420 pupils aged 4-11 over the coming years. The Headteacher, Debbie Higham, can be contacted on 01954 719630 or emailed at office@thevine.cambs.sch.uk
For
children aged 11 to 16 the nearby Comberton Village
College offers an excellent education opportunity.
The school is being expanded to accommodate the Cambourne
community. It has long been regarded as one of the best
schools in Cambridgeshire and last year it became one
of only 250 schools in the country to be designated
as a Beacon School. This acknowledges the fact that
the school is viewed as outstanding by the Department
for Education and Skills.

The strength of this educational infrastructure will
ensure companies based on Cambourne Business Park will
benefit from the availability of a skilled workforce
whose own children's education can be provided to a
very high standard locally.
