It has in place an Environmental Policy under which its stated aims are to reduce to a minimum, through good management and sound working practices, the direct and indirect environmental impacts of its business activities. In this, the company also seeks the active co-operation of the members of its design and development teams.

Development Securities PLC is developing Cambourne Business Park in association with Wrenbridge Land Ltd, a regional property development company based in Cambridge. Wrenbridge, with a development programme of over 2.5 million sq ft has considerable experience of office, laboratory and R&D accommodation in Cambridge.

Wrenbridge are one of the most active property development companies in the Midlands, Northern Home Counties and East Anglia specialising in all forms of commercial property developments.

Wrenbridge has completed over 7.5 million sq ft of office space and industrial/warehouse accommodation. It has a further 3.5 million sq ft of accommodation under construction or in the planning process.

Wrenbridge is a multi-disciplined organisation with its own in-house design and project management teams which provide advice at all stages of the development process from initial feasibility studies to site identification, design, construction and project management.

Wrenbridge are aptly named after the famous bridge spanning the River Cam, in Cambridge, built by Sir Christopher Wren in 1711. Originally this cost £1,353, including £57 for the labourers bread and beer.

Wrenbridge is backed by Palmer Capital Partners (PCP) an investment bank specialising in the UK property market, and has funds immediately available for future development. These include arrangements with Palmer Capital Partners, the £200m Palmer Orion (UK) fund and the Bank of Scotland.

PCP own a significant shareholding in Wrenbridge and Ray Palmer, their Chairman is also our Chairman. PCP backed companies are amongst the most active in the UK development market with a combined current development programme of over 9 million sq ft having a capital value of £1.5 billion plus.

In addition to providing the financial backing for Wrenbridge, PCP executives also provide considerable intellectual support as very active non-executive directors of the company.
